After graduating in December 2003, Ee Laine worked in a South Australian government organisation for 7 years, providing physiotherapy to various arms within the community, including home therapy, day therapy centres and rehabilitation centres. She moved to Singapore in late 2010, and joined Mobility Clinic Pte Ltd for a couple of years, providing home-based therapy to elderly clients.
Currently, Ee Laine works part time in our clinic at The Metropolis, Buona Vista. She uses neurokinetic therapy protocol to specifically assess and treat muscle imbalances, restoring pain-free movement. Combining manual skills along with exercises, she teaches people how to manage their own pain and return to the activities they enjoy. Outside work, she enjoys running and has attended running events locally. She is able to help anyone overcome their running injuries, or running-related sports injuries.
Upon request, she also provides home physiotherapy to clients with mainly musculoskeletal conditions, who for whatever reasons are unable to travel to a clinic, for example, someone undergoing a total knee/hip replacement and is temporarily immobile. For the elderly population who are house-bound, she is able to provide care-giver’s training on transfers and manual handling techniques, provide advice on rehab equipment, home modification needs, and prescribe a balance and strengthening program to maintain function and prevent falls.
